Bluekulu offers an innovative tracking and monitoring solution that can be used in Malls, traffic roundabouts, Cinemas and Airports. This BlueFlow solution provides realtime information on the location of phones and vehicles with in a BlueFlow monitored area and can provide new business intelligence data.
Bluetooth enabled devices are carried by 1 in 5 of all people entering a shopping center, checking in at an airport or driving through a traffic junction. These phones and bluetooth headsets can be monitored remotely by tracking their bluetooth signal. This scan process can be done from up to 50 meters away and is unobtrusive and transparent to the user.
By processing this data, innovative business intelligence solutions can be created. For instance, in a shopping center, you can track the following:
- How often do people visit the center
- How long do they stay in a store
- How long do they stay in the food court
- How many people visit the food court before visiting the cinema
In an Airport, you can get the following information:
- How long do people stay at the check-in area
- How long does it take to cross security
- Monitor how people move within an airport and get real-time information of the number of people in a zone
- How long do people stay at the check in area
For road traffic monitoring:
- What average speed do people drive at between two locations
- How long does it take to get trough a junction at rush hour
- Monitor a roundabout and determine which entry and exit cars come from and go to in realtime.
Implementation
Bluekulu devices are small computers about the size of a paper back book and use a range of bluetooth solutions depending on the range required. Bluekulu will work with you to asses the site and suggest the number of units that should be deployed. Each unit can monitor an area of 50 meters radius but if more localised monitoring is required a shorter range unit can be used.
For instance, a shopping center would have one unit at each entrance of a range of 10 meters each, and would have several more units inside the center (perhaps in the food court and cinema lobby as well as larger stores).
Each unit needs main electricity and one of the following connectivity solution: wifi, 3G (mobile phone based) or ethernet/internet cable. Ethernet cable is recommended as it is a very stable solution. 3G modems can be used and are ideal for short deployments and trials. Wifi may be used but can be awkward to integrate with existing solutions in Airports, etc
The BlueFlow servers collect all the data generated by the BlueFlow units. It provides a web based interface to reports and data.
New units are easily deployed and integrated into the system.
The raw data generated can be relayed in realtime to your own servers where it can be analyzed by your own team.
