BlueText solves this problem by linking the bluetooth id of the phone with the actual mobile phone number. When a Bluetooth scan finds the bluetooth id, the system checks to see whether the phone number is known. If it is, then an SMS can be sent to the phone with your message.
Bluekulu provides a laptop based bluetooth solution that includes a very short range bluetooth scanner. Customers but their phones on the scanner and you ask the customer for their details including their phone number. The system scans for the bluetooth id and links that with the stored details.
When a registered customer passes your store that has a Bluekulu bluetooth scanner installed, the customer will receive a text that you have created. This text can be personalised based on shopping history and personal details.
